why do we love dates?
from when they were first discovered, which was thousands of years ago, dates were known to have healing powers. and while science has proved that for sure, we love to eat them mostly because of how delicious these dark fruits are. let’s look at a few of the wonderful benefits of these dark beauties:
dates contain a high concentration of antioxidants, mainly carotenoids and phenolic compounds. antioxidants protect the body's cells from free radicals that can cause too much inflammation. inflammation is an important immune system function. but, when out of control, it can cause serious damage and diseases such as arthritis, cancer, diabetes, heart disease and signs of aging.
many folks use dates as a natural vitamin supplement! a diet with dates in it can give you a surplus quantity of some highly beneficial vitamins such as B1, B2, B3, B5, A1 and C – just to name a few.
