Preparing for a cleanse

okay…before you start a juice cleanse, we suggest you get that vegas trip out of the way. drink, smoke, gamble, pole dance, eat a bunch of really bad for you yet yummy food…what ever! we mean, we want you to get home in one piece but get all that indulgence out of your system so you can indulge in something even better….a new you! no, not the new you that got a crazy tattoo on your face or married someone you only knew for twelve minutes in vegas. i’m talking about the new healthier, happier and more vibrant you!

after you get your vegas trip out of the way, start focusing on preparing for your cleanse. this is very important and will help you tremendously during your cleanse. some foods can interfere will your liver’s ability to detoxify your body, thus impairing your detox efforts. we recommend eliminating your intake of alcohol, (we know, we know…you’ll live), caffeine, sugar, nicotine, dairy, wheat, artificial sweeteners, trans fats, processed foods and animal products. you don’t have to do this all in one day. give yourself three to five days to slowly wean yourself off the bad stuff so your body is primed and ready to soak in all the wonderful live vitamins and nutrients. believe us, you will thank yourself if you prepare properly!!

so, what is there left to eat, you ask? plenty! start introducing more raw foods, (we offer a nice selection of raw and vegan food for you to munch on) also, broth based soups and superfood smoothies will help you prepare for your cleanse. drink lots of water!! this will also make for a much more enjoyable cleanse.

do not stop taking any prescription medication while on a juice cleanse. if you take prescription medication, consult with your physician before you start a cleanse.
